Two Worthy Causes

Net proceeds from TNF’s 44th Annual Convention in New Jersey will be dedicated to the following two specific initiative. Our goal is to raise $250,000 in net proceeds for these two very worthy causes. Your donations are tax deductible. Contributions can also be made in Indian Rupees. Thank you for your generosity.

ஊரு நம்ம ஊரு - OUR NATIVE PLACE

  • TNF is establishing a corpus fund for each of the 32 districts in Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Pondicherry. Our goal is to raise $250,000 for each of these districts and Pondicherry over the next few years. TNF Tamil Nadu Chapter Trustees (currently lead by Mr. Rajarethinam, IAS Retired, Former Secretary to the Chief Minister) will guide in establishing safe and high yielding corpus funds for each district. Only the interest generted from these funds will be used to support projects carefully selected by TNF USA Board and TNF Tamil Nadu Chapter in one or more of the following core areas:

    • Education
    • Women Empowerment
    • Rural Development
    • Health and Hygiene

    As only the interest will be used to support the projects, YOUR ONE TIME DONATION WILL KEEP ON GIVING FOR GENERATIONS COME in your native district.

Kanavagam

  • Kanavagam is an orphanage for young girls where they become our girls. Located near Karaikudi, this TNF supported project was inaugurated recently. Your donation will help feed, educate and empower these young girls to grow up as role model young women for the society. For more details on Kanavagam CLICK HERE
